Why is it that Thanksgiving is becoming overshadowed by Black Friday?? Can't we just be thankful for all the crap we already have and not go out and buy some more crap?
I for one am very thankful for pie. Today I had cookies and creme, pecan, peanut butter, and french silk. They were all delicious.
So today, I am thankful for pie.

School is Prison.
So I just finished writing (if you can call it writing) my senior research paper. Wow, it feels SO great to say that. *audible sigh of relief* I cannot feel my legs at this point from sitting for so long, and my lower back has been hurting for the last hour...well actually it went numb a litttle while ago. All in all, I'd say my spine won't be bending normally for a couple of weeks.
As for the paper itself it was on prison rehabilitation....woohoo. Fun stuff, right?! And It was pretttty bad. Okay... probably/hopefully in the B range, maybe B minus, so not too horrific.
I should probably get some shut eye at this point considering I have school at 7:30... but I think I'll just sleep when I die....
Oh, and sadly Romney lost. Maybe that means that he and I are meant to be running mates for when I run for the presidency. RomneyPeterson 2030........or PetersonRomney 2030? Ooh decisions decisions...
Whelp, I guess it's Time to Barack and Roll for 4 more years then.

Please tell me who invented the idea of research so I can hunt them down and throw my shoe at them. |

Amerka.
My outfit today and me posing a la Richard Nixon |
I just had to wear my red white and blue today. Victory. And I also have a star necklace on. Stars and stripes all the way!
And in support of our [hopefully] future president, my family had Mitt-loaf for dinner tonight! Go Mitt Romney!
Sadly I did not vote today, but I wish I could have. I don't turn 18 until next year! I'm sure that whatever happens with this election it will be okay, I'll just be glad that the elections are finally over. I just hate to see all the hate there is surrounding elections! It's so stressful right now. Watching the election news is killing me. Right now the Romney red map is looking pretty good, but that blue can be sneaky sometimes so maybe Obama will be re-elected...or not.
Well, I will just be patient and wait until I turn 35 and can run for president myself!
2030 here I come.

Halloweenie.
So this week is Halloween and I cannot wait! On Saturday our church had our "Fall Festival" (apparently some people take offense to the term Halloween) and my brother Marion (yes, brother) and I dressed up as Bo Peep and Woody from Toy Story and my little sister went as princess Aurora, oh sorry, I mean Sleeping Beauty.

Here's us. Can't you see the resemblance? The little cutie down front is usually quite happy but she chose this exact moment to stop smiling...what a shame. Oh and there's also our brother Taft in cardboard cutout form. Our parents got that when he moved out as a joke and now he "stands" in a place of honor and often photobombs family photos.
So when it comes to Halloween I believe in dressing up, scaring people, carving pumpkins, and all that jazz. I honestly love Halloween. Last year as a junior in high school I even went trick or treating (I dressed as a twister board, I literally wrapped the board around me like a toga). Yes, I really should have been ashamed of myself, but I was too busy enjoying myself. What a pity. Well this year I would love to do the same, but alas my parents forbade me. So what to do, what to do?
As a teenager, a popular Halloween activity is the visiting of haunted houses. However, I am a HUGE wimp and I get scared so easily. I get nightmares after watching the previews for scary movies! No, I don't even watch the movie itself, just the preview and I'm still up all night scared! So, I'd love to go to a haunted house, buuut...yeah, I couldn't do it.
SO, we'll see what happens this Wednesday then....either I'm passing out candy and getting to bed by the responsible hour of 8 o'clock or I'm going to a haunted house and I'm peeing myself and not sleeping.
This is the hardest decision of my life.

Hello World!
Well looks like I am officially joining the blogging world. Pretty exciting huh? Or disheartening...to think that I'm giving in to peer pressures and only see my self-actualization as being achieved through sharing it with others! Either way, I have done the inevitable and here I am. But the question still remains, Who am I? I cannot say this question without thinking of the caterpillar in Alice in Wonderland (one of my favorites I might add) who drawled, while smoking his hookah, "Whoooo Arrrre Yoouu?"
And to this I reply:
I am a self proclaimed extrovert (and as far as things one can proclaim oneself to be, I say that's a fairly good one)
I enjoy poetry but my writing of it is definitely lacking
I am passionate about acting (shall I call myself an actress? yes, I believe I shall)
I am an actress
I am a lover not a fighter. Not quite true, I just wanted to say that :)
I believe in art
I believe in mermaids, but try not to believe in ghosts
I am easily addicted to things (chocolate, TV shows, books, staying up late, salsa)
I eat books (figuratively thank goodness) mystery, nonfiction, romance, you name it
I like boys. But boys don't realize they like me (how strange, right? ;)
I love to quote movies.
I love to learn new things.
\And, oh yeah, my name is Amy.
I believe in sucking out life's marrow
in leafing through life's pages,
riding my bike,
walking alone late at night,
laughing at absurdity and
laughing irreverently,
discovering myself through acting,
and loving those around me.
So, Enjoy my opinions, life happenings, poetry, goofy stories, and odds and ends.
